An Affair to Remember (Valentine's Concert)

The radio broadcast of this concert was heard on WCLV 104.9 FM on Friday, March 2, 2007 from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. EST.

Cleveland POPS' "An Affair to Remember" was performed live on Friday, February 9, 2007 at Severance Hall in Cleveland, Ohio. A sell-out crowd enjoyed a concert filled with beloved musical tributes to romance, led by conductor Carl Topilow and featuring identical twin brothers Will and Anthony Nunziata. These talented twin vocalists, fresh out of Boston College, are already an east coast sensation, having made multiple appearances with Boston Pops. They thrilled the audience with their vocally rich and exciting renditions of "Lily's Eyes" from The Secret Garden, "Agony" from Into the Woods, "You're Nothing Without Me" from City of Angels and more. Also featured was saxophonist Greg Banaszak, a world renowned master of his instrument and sensational in both classic and jazz repertoire. His improvisations of "Just Friends," "Laura" and "I'm in the Mood for Love" brought down the house. Tango experts Rebecca Sweet and Heriberto Perez danced with fiery passion to Leroy Anderson's "Blue Tango." The world class Cleveland POPS Orchestra wove its spell with "Tara's Theme" (Gone With the Wind), "Our Love Affair" (An Affair to Remember), Richard Rodgers waltzes and selections from Titanic.
