Cleveland POPS brings "The Spirit of Christmas" to Playhouse Square Center

CLEVELAND, OH—Carl Topilow and the acclaimed Cleveland POPS have gift-wrapped a holiday treat to delight family audiences: "The Spirit of Christmas." Performing at The Palace Theater in Playhouse Square Center on Sunday, November 27, 2005, the joys of the holiday season will come alive as Cleveland POPS and guest artists present a jolly review of beloved music of the season. Featuring piano virtuoso, composer and consummate entertainer Paul Todd, and The Tower City Chorus in glorious tributes to the season, Topilow's Cleveland POPS will explore music that recalls both the sentimental and the cheery facets of these much-loved holidays. Music to be performed by the ensemble include selections from the movie Polar Express, A Charlie Brown Christmas, a jazzy version of Nutcracker and a cavalcade of Yuletide favorites.

An entertainer of national renown and a dazzling keyboard artist, Paul Todd will sing and play his versions of popular holiday songs, as well as many of his original compositions.

"The Spirit of Christmas" promises musical holiday joys for everyone. Adoptable puppies and kittens from local rescue shelters will be on view in the Palace Theater lobby. Beloved weatherman Dick Goddard will be part of the show, and Santa will make an appearance with free treats for kids of all ages.

Cleveland POPS has partnered with Tower City Center to bring added holiday joys to concert goers. Patrons holding Cleveland POPS "The Spirit of Christmas" concert tickets will be treated to discounts on meals at participating Tower City Center restaurants and $5.00 valet parking. Free parking is also available with proof of dining at a participating Tower City Center restaurant. Tower City Center restaurants will also be offering a discount on meals with a Cleveland POPS "The Spirit of Christmas" ticket stub. Complimentary shuttle service, provided by Lolly The Trolley, will be available to and from Tower City Center and the Palace Theater from 1:00 PM until 5:00 P.M. Proof of "The Spirit of Christmas" concert tickets is required for the shuttle service.
