The Cleveland Pops Chorus: Upcoming Concert

The Cleveland Pops Orchestra Chorus presents its annual spring choral celebration on Sunday, May 5th

One of Northeast Ohio’s most respected choral organizations, The Cleveland Pops Orchestra Chorus, is blending its 60 voices in an afternoon of choral music titled American Reflections.” The chorus is directed by its renowned chorus master William G. Zurkey. The chorus will be accompanied by pianist Michelle Mauklauf. The concert will take place at 3.00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Avon Lake UCC Church, located at 32801 Electric Boulevard, Avon Lake, Ohio, 44012.

The concert’s theme, “American Reflections,’’ mirrors the story of our country’s struggles and triumphs, and how America has earned its treasured motto: “The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.” You will enjoy selections from American composers including Aaron Copland, Morten Lauridsen, Jake Runestad, Williametta Spencer, Shawn Kirchner, plus selections from well-known Broadway musicals and African-American Spirituals.
