CLEVELAND POPS YOUTH ORCHESTRA ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR THE 2026-27 SEASON FOR ALL INSTRUMENTS!
Now through September 24, 2026!
Since 2018, the renowned Cleveland Pops Orchestra, in partnership with The Music Settlement, has been nurturing and training young musicians to reach their full potential while promoting critical thinking, self-confidence, and leadership skills through music performance with the Cleveland Pops Youth Orchestra (CPYO).
Under the baton of conductor Carl Topilow, Youth Orchestra members explore the music of Broadway, Hollywood, jazz, light classics, and popular songs.
The Cleveland Pops Youth Orchestra musicians receive coaching from members of the Cleveland Pops Orchestra. Musicians will also perform at least 4 concerts a season, plus an opportunity to play side by side with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra. Other solo and chamber performance opportunities will be available throughout the season.
- Open to: Students 11-18 years old (grades 6-12)
- Rehearsals: Monday evenings, 6:00–7:30 PM at The Music Settlement in University Circle
- Season begins: Monday, September 28, 2026
Audition Information:
- Auditions consist of a solo piece of the applicant’s choice.
- Complete the application form below and upload video of a prepared solo piece of your choice to Dropbox, Google Drive, or YouTube. *Please make sure your video permissions are set to “Anyone can view”
- Audition and acceptance email is required prior to registration. Those wishing to join the ensemble must complete the form below.
- If your student is accepted, you will receive a welcome email with enrollment instructions.
- Pricing information and financial aid options available through The Music Settlement.
- Early auditions from prospective students and early re-enrollment from returning CPYO students are encouraged, as we will be filling the seats on a rolling basis.
