FAQ

No! Although we share the same venue, The Cleveland Pops Orchestra is a separate company and is not associated with The Cleveland Orchestra. The Cleveland Pops Orchestra with Carl Topilow performs the highest quality symphonic pops music to entertain and enrich a wide and diverse audience. We are a completely different and independent non-profit organization with specific focus on popular orchestral music.

You will hear music come to life from film and television to the music of Broadway, Hollywood, jazz, big band, and light classics! Come prepared to be humming along and tapping your feet! You”ll be sure to recognize tunes from the Pops!

There is no official dress code for the Cleveland Pops Orchestra! Some people may be dressed up for a night out, others will be more causal, some people will come from work, and some may even be in jeans. The most important thing is to be comfortable!

We suggest arriving at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled showtime. Give yourself enough time to find parking, explore Severance Hall and find your seats.

Severance Hall has ushers that will be at every show to assist you in finding your seats. Tickets will be labeled with a section, row and seat number.

Our concerts usually run about 2 hours which includes a 15 minute intermission about halfway through the show.

Audience members usually applaud at the beginning of the concert when the lead violinist enters to tune the orchestra, and then applaud again when maestro Carl Topilow comes onstage. The audience will usually applaud at the end of each piece as well. If you aren’t sure, just follow along with the rest of the audience!

If you arrive late, you will be instructed to wait in the back until the current musical piece has concluded. Once the piece is over, ushers will direct you to your seats.

Ticket prices vary based on where your seat is located and what concert you are attending but tickets for the regular concert season start at just $29!
