HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MR. PRESIDENT. Join Carl Topilow and the POPS for a "surprise" 200th birthday party in honor of President Abraham Lincoln. Meet our sixteenth president in person and experience authentic music of the Civil War era by our guest artists, Saxton's Cornet Band. They recreate, with astounding historical accuracy, the band music Lincoln heard during his stay at the White House. The amazing Mutual Gifts Gospel Choir will also be featured. Hear the theme from the movie "Gettysburg." Aaron Copland's "Lincoln Portrait" as narrated by the President himself, the moving "Ashokan Farewell," Sousa marches, spirituals, a rousing patriotic sing-along and the moving medley of Armed Forces theme songs.

You've heard Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" many times, but have you heard the not-so-famous, but very funny "1712 Overture" by P.D.Q. Bach (aka: Peter Schekele.)  Be prepared for a real treat.
