Walking the Walk and Talking the Talk: Kishna Fowler Shares with Carl Topilow how she Helps the Next Generation Find a Passion for Music

March 15, 2021/by Sabrina Plumb DeCastra

Maestro Carl Topilow recently caught up with the very talented lyrical soprano, Kishna Fowler.

With an amazing 25 year career in opera, Kishna shares her early years learning gospel music in the church where her father was the pastor. From there she would go on to study at Julliard and perform a variety of opera roles, including Bess in Porgy and Bess. Now she teaches at Kent State University where she hopes to inspire and guide the next generation of talented musicians.
